About utilitydocket

We build one thing: a list of the public records about water and wastewater utilities near your office, each linked to the government record it came from.

Why it exists

Small civil and water engineering firms find work by knowing the utilities near them. The records that matter are public but scattered: PFAS results sit in EPA's UCMR 5 file, wastewater enforcement orders in ECHO, system contacts and violations in SDWIS, and drinking-water projects in a long TWDB PDF. Joining them by hand takes days.

utilitydocket joins them by government ID, places each one by distance from your office, and checks every row against the raw file before it shows.

How we work

  • Numbers come from code, not from a language model. Each one links to its source.
  • We say what a record does not prove. A PFAS result above 4.0 ppt is one sample, not a compliance finding.
  • An independent check on Nov 6, 2026 re-derived 30 random records by hand; 30 matched. How we check.
  • Every "Wrong record?" report is read by a person, checked against the source and, if we got it wrong, fixed and kept as a test case.
